Andrea Di Stefano is an architect. He studied History and Theory of Architecture at IUAV in Venice and graduated from the Architectural Association in London in 2005. He co-founded the AION architectural practice, which he co-directs with Aleksandra Jaeschke. He curated the architectural section of the Prague Biennale, collaborated with the New York-based BIOTHING, was partner in ACAB in London and Barcelona and was member of OCEAN NORTH. Co-winner of "L'Architecture de la Grande Echelle" Research Programme 2008, he taught and was a researcher in Urban Ecologies at the Ecole Speciale d'Architecture in Paris and academic fellow in Materials Technology at the University of Catania. He lectured and ran workshops in the UK, Norway, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy and Argentina. His work has been featured in various publications and international exhibitions such as the Shanghai Expo 2010 and the Buenos Aires International Biennal de Arquitectura in 2011. In 2010 he received the Newitalianblood award for one of the TOP 10 Architects Under 40 in Italy and in Poland and in 2011 was awarded the prestigious Europe 40 Under 40. | Curriculum Vitae

Aleksandra Jaeschke is an architect graduated from the Architectural Association in London in 2005. She co-founded AION, an architectural practice founded in 2008, which she leads together with Andrea Di Stefano. In 2004 she participated with BIOTHING in the New York Hot Spot section of the Beijing Biennial of Architecture. She was partner in OCEAN NORTH, an international research and design network. In parallel to her professional work, she ran design workshops and gave lectures in France, Belgium, Italy, Norway, Argentina, and Poland. Her work has been featured in various international publications, including AD "Versatility & Vicissitude" and Arch+ "Form Follows Performance". With AION she participated in several exhibitions such as the Shanghai Expo 2010 and the Buenos Aires International Biennal de Arquitectura in 2011. In 2010 she received the Newitalianblood award for one of the TOP 10 Architects Under 40 in Italy and in Poland, and in 2011 was awarded the prestigious Europe 40 Under 40. Aleksandra is a doctoral candidate at the Harvard Graduate School of Design where she also served as a Teaching Fellow in the Theories of Urbanism, Landscape, Ecology, and in the Construction Systems courses, and is currently the research coordinator for the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians Housing Research and Prototype Design Project.
